Immediate Protection from the IRS

Dtax can provide you with immediate protection from wage garnishments, bank levies, property seizures and more. You name it we can help you fight it. Our Tax Experts will take immediate action so call us today at 888-578-9568.

Wage Garnishment:  When you owe back taxes and fail to pay them in a timely manner, the IRS has the power to issue a wage garnishment.
Once a wage garnishment is in place, you will want the assistance of a
wage garnishment professional to resolve the matter.

Bank Levies:  An IRS bank levy is when the IRS seizes funds directly from your bank account to cover back taxes you owe. Your bank must freeze your assets for 21 days from the day it receives the IRS notice.  If you do not take action during that time, the bank sends ALL the funds to the IRS

Property Seizures:  If you refuse, neglect, or fail to pay federal income taxes owed, the IRS has the right to seize their property. Property levies are one of the most severe actions imposed by the IRS. If you’re behind on your taxes, you need to understand levies and how to avoid them.

Investigation

Identifying the problem is the most crucial step in the investigation process. We collect information from the IRS and identify the obstacles. Tax resolution is what we do best.

Gathering Your Tax History:  Our investigation starts by filing a Tax Authorization information form 8821 with the IRS and/or the appropriate state taxing authority on your behalf in order to complete a full fifteen-year record of account. IRS Audit:  The last thing you ever want is a letter from the IRS stating you are the subject of an audit.  The IRS may conduct an audit when they suspect a taxpayer isn’t paying what they should in taxes, or they can select randomly. It is imperative that you seek out counsel to protect yourself before sending any documentation to the IRS. Call DTax at 888-578-9568. Unfiled Tax Returns: Not filing your tax returns for years at a time can lead to serious consequences. It is not advisable to ignore your annual tax filing because the IRS will almost always catch up with you. As we investigate your tax history, we can also help you catch up on past years of unfiled tax returns to bring you into compliance with the IRS filing requirements.

Resolution

DTax helps lower tax debt in many ways. We get our clients qualified for Offer In Compromise, Penalty Abatement, Installment Agreements, and Currently Non-Collectable. We can help choose the best plan for you.

Offer In Compromise:  The IRS and State Tax Agencies have strict guidelines to decide who qualifies for an Offer in Compromise agreement, determined by a set of calculations based on your income, assets and allowable living expenses. Generally speaking, those who qualify for OICs are taxpayers with tax debt who are experiencing financial hardship. Unfortunately, qualifying for an Offer in Compromise is less than half the battle. Preparing and negotiating Offer in Compromise settlements is a complicated procedure which should be handled by a tax professional.

Innocent Spouse Release:  Under this relief, if one of the spouses can prove that they were unaware of the erroneous information on the tax return that resulted in the tax liability, they can be exempted from the tax burden so that the whole tax debt becomes only liable to the other spouse. The relief was introduced into the tax code to protect an innocent spouse who would have otherwise been held responsible for taxes in which they had no part to play.

Partial Pay Installment Agreement:  Having tax debt can be daunting and even overwhelming. You may think you do not have any options except the seizure of your assets. This is untrue. In most cases, (if you do not qualify for an Offer in Compromise), you will qualify for one of the installment agreements the IRS has, no matter the size of your tax debt. There are four types of payment agreements offered: streamlined installments, guaranteed installments, partial installments, and discretionary installments. It’s highly recommended that you seek the help of an experienced tax professional to assure you get the best plan for you.

Currently Not Collectible (CNC):  There are times where you agree you owe the IRS, but you can’t pay due to your current financial situation. If the IRS agrees you can’t both pay your taxes and your basic living expenses, it may place your account in Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status. Consult with a tax professional to help determine if you might qualify for CNC status.
